調子 ( = choushi) (Mini Lesson )

choushi

= Minna choushi dou?

= How is it going, everyone?

Hi everyone!
Genki = How are you doing?
We now have two cat teachers working on a lesson and I have been helping them.
It is great that dogs and cats are working together.
Meanwhile, I will repost a mini-lesson from Facebook, Maggie Sensei.

OK, today’s focus word is:

:rrrr: 調子 = ちょうし = choushi = condition

I just tweeted the word recently.

In daily conversation, we often hear people greet each other with,

= Choushi dou?

= How’s it going? / How are you doing?

You can specify the question

:u:

Ex.

= Shigoto no choushi wa dou?

= How’s work? / How’s business (going)?

If the person has a problem — like an injury– with their foot.

Ex.

= Ashi no choushi wa dou?

= How’s your foot?

Note : We often skip the particle は ( = wa) in conversation.

= Shigoto no choushi dou?

= Ashi no choushi dou?

⬇️

Polite :

= (~ no) choushi wa dou desu ka?

⬇️

More polite :

= (~ no) Choushi wa ikaga desu ka?

      →Good!
