★How to use 〜まま ( = mama)
「今日は座ったままレッスンをします。」
= Kyou wa suwatta mama ressun wo shimasu.
= I will give you a lesson sitting down.

Verb present tense /adjective + ことがある ( = koto ga aru)
「お正月でも仕事をすることがあります。」
= Oshougatsu demo shigoto wo suru koto ga arimasu.
= I sometimes even work on New Year’s Day.
Verb past tense (〜た form )+ ことがある ( = (~ ta) + koto ga aru)
「このかわいい犬、どこかで見たことがあるなあ…」
= Kono kawaii inu, dokokade mita koto ga aru naa…
= (I think I have seen this cute dog somewhere.)
= This cute dog looks familiar…
「うわ～変な犬！」
= Uwaa henna inu!
= Wow! What a strange dog!
How to use 「〜ない ( = nai)？」
「今日、デートしない？」
= Kyou, deito shinai?
= Do you want to go on a date with me today?
〜と & 〜ないと ( = ~ to & ~ naito) conditional
「ジャーキーくれないといたずらするよ！」
= Jaakii kurenai to itazura suruyo!
= Trick or “dog treats”!!
(If you don’t give me “dog treats”, I will play a trick on you!)
〜ずに ( = zuni) & 〜ないで ( = naide)
「これ並ばずに買えたの？」
= Kore narabazu ni kaetano?
= Kore narabazu ni kaetano?
= Did you get this without standing in line?
