How to use べき ( = beki)
何があっても日本語の勉強を続けるべきだよ。
= Nani ga atte mo nihongo no benkyou wo tsuzukeru beki dayo.
= Whatever happens, you should keep studying Japanese, OK?
Verb Tense Part 2 (Past tense/ present perfect,etc.)
Frisky 「たくさん食べたから眠くなってきた。」
= Takusan tabeta kara nemuku natte kita.
= I ate a lot so I am getting sleepy.

「Tofu先生、今日は何をするの？」
= Tofu sensei, kyou wa nani wo suruno?
= Tofu sensei, what are you going to do today?

=Uun. kinou wa ie de zutto nete ita kara, kyou wa nihongo demo oshieru yo.
= Well, I slept the whole day yesterday so I guess I’ll teach Japanese today.
How to use せっかく ( = sekkaku)
Marlowe 「せっかくきれいなスリッパをもらったんだけど大き過ぎるよ。」
= Sekkaku kireina surippa wo morattan dakedo ooki sugiruyo.
= You gave me these beautiful slippers but they are way too big.
How to use つく / ついている= tsuku/ tsuite iru (Mini Lesson)
「なんか鼻についてるよ！」
= Nanka hana ni tsuiteruyo!
= You have something on your nose!
「マギー先生の頭にもなにかついていますよ。」
= Maggie sensei no atama nimo nanika tsuite imasuyo.
= You have something on your head, too, Maggie Sensei.

= Aah.. kono repooto sae owareba soto de asoberun dakedo…
= Ahh, all I have to do is finish this report and I can go out and play but….
